Film & TV News James Corden and Emily Blunt Perform a Musical Version of Romeo + Juliet The Mary Poppins Returns star and Late Late Show host unite to tell Shakespeare’s tragedy through pop songs.

Stars Emily Blunt and James Corden first came together as The Baker and The Baker’s Wife in the feature film version of James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim’s Into the Woods.

Now, Corden (a Tony winner and a previous Tony host) and Blunt (cast as the titular nanny in the upcoming film Mary Poppins Returns) reunite on CBS’ The Late Late Show.

In this segment, the duo offers a musical version of Shakespeare’s classic Romeo + Juliet. Corden and Blunt perform the tale of star-crossed lovers in one live take through a “soundtrack” of 14 pop songs in a fully costumed production on seven different sets.
