Produced by Daryl Roth, Vitaly: An Evening of Wonders will officially open June 21 at the Westside Theatre (407 West 43rd Street, between Ninth and Tenth Avenues). The limited engagement is scheduled to run through September 30.

“Vitaly fooled us with his humor and amazing magic,” Penn & Teller said in an earlier statement. “We are so proud he’s opening at the Westside Theatre where we first opened our show in New York over 30 years ago. He is an ingenious inventor, full of charming surprises.”

“I have always loved the art of illusion and magic, and when I was introduced to Vitaly, I was totally mesmerized,” added producer Roth. “I don’t know how he does it, but I cannot wait for everyone to experience his extraordinary and amazing performance.”

“I’ve heard that it takes a lot to shock and astonish New Yorkers, but I think I may have a few surprises in store,” Beckman stated. “I’m thrilled to make my Off-Broadway debut, and I look forward to a summer of magic in this magical city.”

Beckman, who has played sold-out engagements in Las Vegas, Seattle, Detroit, Toronto, Vancouver, Tel Aviv, and Puerto Montt, Chile, invented and designed all of the illusions for his show. Attendees can expect to see paintings coming alive, still photographs turn into mini-movies, and time reversing itself as bare broken tree branches visibly repair while sprouting new green leaves. Audience members will also watch their faces disappear from their own driver’s licenses.

The production is recommended for ages eight and up. Visit EveningofWonders.com.
