Stage and screen actor Hunter Parrish will co-star in CW's Jane the Novela, a spinoff pilot of the Golden Globe-winning series Jane the Virgin. According to Deadline, Parrish will star alongside Jacqueline Grace Lopez.

Each season of Jane the Novela will focus on bringing the novels, penned by Jane's character, to life on the silver screen. The telenovela-inspired anthology series is the project of Jane the Virgin creator and executive producer Jennie Snyder Urman, the show's title star Gina Rodriguez, executive producer Ben Silverman, and director Brad Silberling, as well as CBS TV Studios.

Parrish was most recently seen Off-Broadway in Good Grief, prior to which he was seen on Broadway in Godspell and Spring Awakening. On screen, he has been in Quantico, Good Girls Revolt, The Following, The Good Wife, and Weeds, among other shows.
