The world premiere of Joan of Arc: Into the Fire, a new rock musical concert chronicling the rise of the iconic historical figure, officially opened at the Public Theater March 15. The world premiere was created by the duo behind Here Lies Love: Grammy-winning composer and Talking Heads frontman David Byrne and Golden Globe-winning director Alex Timbers.

Previews for Joan of Arc began Off-Broadway February 14 starring Jo Lampert in the title role. The musical features music, book, and lyrics by Byrne and direction by Timbers, as well as choreography by Steven Hoggett. Performances are scheduled to play through April 16.
