Tony Award winner Laura Benanti, who was last seen on Broadway in the recently-closed revival of My Fair Lady, celebrates her birthday July 15. Benanti received Tony Award nominations for her work in Swing!, Into the Woods, Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown, and She Loves Me, and won the Best Featured Actress in a Musical Tony for her performance in Gypsy. Her stage work also includes Nine, The Wedding Singer, In the Next Room, and Meteor Shower. Her TV work includes roles on The Playboy Club, Nashville, Supergirl, and TBS' The Detour, as well as a recent guest arc on TV Land's Younger. She also played Elsa Schrader on NBC's The Sound of Music Live!
