The musical adaptation of Heathers will play London’s Other Palace Theatre this summer. Performances will run June 9 through August 4.
Carrie Hope Fletcher (Les Misérables) will star as Veronica, the role played in the 1988 cult favorite film by Winona Ryder.
The Laurence O’Keefe and Kevin Murphy musical, which premiered in Los Angeles before a 2014 Off-Broadway bow, previously played a developmental workshop, partially open to the public, at the Other Palace last year.
The musical follows Veronica Sawyer, a high school girl plucked from nothingness by the ultimate vicious clique—the three Heathers. When mysterious new kid JD arrives, however, he and Veronica team up to put an end to their bullying—at whatever cost.The production, directed by Andy Fickman and choreographed by Gary Lloyd, will feature sets and costumes by David Shields, lighting by Ben Cracknell, sound design by Dan Samson, and casting by Will Burton.
