The world premiere, also starring Boyd Gaines and Andrew Veenstra, runs through May 6 at the Connecticut venue.

In the clip above, Olivier Award nominee Sierra Boggess is joined by Andrew Veenstra in a scene from the world premiere of The Age of Innocence. Watch as the two perform the Stephen Foster standard “Beautiful Dreamer.”

The 1921 Pulitzer Prize-winning novel is adapted for the stage by Douglas McGrath. The Doug Hughes-helmed production runs through May 6 at Hartford Stage.

Boggess stars as Countess Ellen Olenska (played on screen by Michelle Pfeiffer in the 1993 film), with Tony winner Boyd Gaines as The Old Gentleman, Helen Cespedes as May Welland, and Veenstra as Newland Archer.

The company also includes Darrie Lawrence as Mrs. Manson Mingott; Deirdre Madigan as Mrs. Welland, Mrs. Van Der Luyden, and Florist; Haviland Morris as Mrs. Archer; Josh Salt as Thorley, Riviere, and Dallas; Tony Ward as Mr. Van Der Luyden, Larry Lefferts, and Letterblair; and Nick Wyman as Julius Beaufort, Sillerton Jackson, and Mr. Hickey.

Sara Norton, Daniel Owens, Sara Schwab, and Alessandro Gian Viviano, students from The Hartt School at the University of Hartford, are featured in the ensemble.
