Anthony Ramos, who made his Broadway debut in Hamilton, has landed roles in two upcoming films, according to Deadline.

The singing actor will play aspiring dancer Ramon, the best friend of Lady Gaga, in the forthcoming remake of A Star Is Born, which is scheduled to arrive in cinemas September 28, 2018. Directed by and co-starring Bradley Cooper, the Warner Bros. film—about an on-the-rise singer who falls in love with an aging rocker—is written by Eric Roth.

Producers include Cooper, Billy Gerber, Todd Phillips, Lynette Howell Tayor, and Jon Peters; Basil Iwanyk is the executive producer.

Ramos has also been cast in Godzilla: King of the Monsters, which will be released by Legendary/Warner Bros. March 22, 2019.

The film, which also features Millie Bobby Brown, Vera Farmiga, Kyle Chandler, Ken Watanabe, O’Shea Jackson Jr., and Aisha Hinds, is directed by Michael Dougherty from a script co-written with Zach Shields. Ramos will be seen as Cpl. Mendoza, who “keeps calm and cool on the surface but whose bravery isn’t to be underestimated in battle,” according to the industry website. No additional details have been released about the upcoming film.
