Leslie Odom, Jr., who will perform on the June 11 Tony Awards broadcast at Radio City Music Hall, has landed a book deal with Feiwel & Friends, an imprint of Macmillan.

The actor, who won a Tony for his performance as Aaron Burr in the Pulitzer Prize-winning Hamilton, is writing an inspirational book that he hopes will inspire younger readers. Entitled Failing Up: How to Rise Above, Do Better, and Never Stop Learning, the tome is scheduled for release March 27, 2018.

The book will be written in the style of a commencement speech, exploring what he's learned throughout his life and the importance of pursuing passions.

“I'm excited to share the lessons that've helped me most along the way,” Odom, Jr. said in a statement. “Feiwel & Friends has offered me the golden opportunity to fall on my face once again and I happily accept.”
