Giles Terera, who won an Olivier Award earlier this year for his performance as Aaron Burr in the West End engagement of Hamilton, has joined the cast of the Old Vic's upcoming revival of Arthur Miller's The American Clock.
Hadestown director and Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812 Tony nominee Rachel Chavkin will helm the production, which begins at the London venue February 4, 2019. Opening night is set for February 13.
As previously reported, the staging will feature multiple performers playing each of the three members of the central Baum household in order to reflect the evolution of the American family. Terera will play Arthur A. Robertson and joins Abhin Galeya and John Marquez to play Moe.
The cast will also include Amber Aga, Clare Burt, and Golda Rosheuvel as Rose, as well as Fred Haig, Jyuddah Jaymes, and Taheen Modak as Lee. Rounding out the company are Paul Bentall, Greg Bernstein, Flora Dawson, Francesca Mills, Christian Patterson, Abdul Salis, Josie Walker, and Ewan Wardrop.
The production will feature sets by Chloe Lamford, costumes by Rosie Elnile, lighting design by Natasha Chivers, sound design by Darron L. West, original music by Justin Ellington, and choreography by Ann Yee. Casting is by Jessica Ronan CDG.
