Off-Broadway News Hamilton Alum Javier Muñoz and More Set for World Premiere of The New Englanders Saheem Ali will direct the Jeff Augustin play Off-Broadway this fall for Manhattan Theatre Club.

The full cast is set for the world premiere of Jeff Augustin's The New Englanders, which will play Off-Broadway beginning September 17. The Manhattan Theatre Club production will officially open October 2 at the Studio at Stage II – Harold and Mimi Steinberg New Play Series at New York City Center.

Saheem Ali (Sugar in Our Wounds) will direct a cast comprised of Javier Muñoz (Hamilton, City Center's upcoming Working), Teagle F. Bougere (Socrates), Patrick Breen (The Normal Heart), Crystal Finn (Kingdom Come), Uly Schlesinger (Chicago Med), and Kara Young (Hair Wolf).

The play follows a mixed race family as a daughter and her two fathers grapple with their conflicting ambitions.

The production will feature sets by Arnulfo Maldonado, costumes by Dede Ayite, lighting by Alan C. Edwards, and sound design by Palmer Hefferan.
