The Broadway adaptation of Frozen played a strong first weekend, grossing a total of $926,840 (two points shy of its potential) over four preview performances. The musical played to 100.36 percent capacity.

The musical joins The Lion King and Aladdin as Disney Theatrical’s current box office perennial favorites; the two grossed $1,976,388 and $1,459,263, respectively, for the week ending February 25.

Also starting this past week was the first Broadway revival of Angels in America, which played three total performances (each of Millennium Approaches, the first of Tony Kushner’s two-part drama). Though the production kicked off its run playing to 96.26 percent capacity, an average ticket price of $77.23 lowered its gross potential.

Hamilton (once again surpassing $3 million) and The Lion King led the pack, followed by Wicked, Dear Evan Hansen, Aladdin and Come From Away. John Leguizamo’s Latin History for Morons concluded its run after playing its highest-grossing week with $750,581 and reaching 99.7 percent capacity.
