Jackie Siblies Drury’s new play Marys Seacole is set to begin performances at Lincoln Center Theater’s Claire Tow Theater February 9. The world premiere from LCT3, directed by Obie winner Lileana Blain-Cruz, is scheduled to run through March 24.

Marys Seacole tells the story of Mary, an ambitious Jamaican woman determined to live a grand life; her adventures take her across oceans and eras, from a battlefield of the Crimean War to a contemporary nursing home, and many times and places in between. The cast is made up of Quincy Tyler Bernstine, Karen Kandel, Lucy Taylor, Gabby Beans, Marceline Hugot, and Ismenia Mendes.
