“I'm very nervous,” he confesses. “I think as a singer, I'm a terrific weatherman.”
Roker takes over the role October 5 through November 11 in the musical penned by Sara Bareilles, with a book by Jessie Nelson and directed by Diane Paulus.
On September 4, the company welcomed new leading lady Nicolette Robinson as Jenna. The current cast also includes celebrity couple Katie Lowes (Scandal) as Dawn and her husband Adam Shapiro as Ogie, Drew Gehling as Dr. Pomatter, Ben Thompson as Earl, NaTasha Yvette Williams as Becky, and Benny Elledge as Cal.
The new play, now on Broadway via Second Stage, stars Jessica Lange, Jim Parsons, and Celia Keenan-Bolger.
Jeremy Jordan and Eva Noblezada lead the cast of the book-to-stage adaptation.
