The production, directed by Michael Mayer, played a pre-Broadway engagement at the Curran Theatre in San Francisco earlier this year. Read out-of-town reviews here.

Featuring a book by Jeff Whitty adapted by James Magruder, Head Over Heels tells an updated take on Philip Sidney’s Arcadia, rife with dramatic irony, comical courtship, and mistaken identity.

The score includes 18 hits by The Go Go’s (Charlotte Caffey, Belinda Carlisle, Gina Schock, Kathy Valentine, Jane Wiedlin), including “We Got the Beat,” “Get Up and Go,” “Cool Jerk,” “Vacation,” “Our Lips Are Sealed,” “Lust to Love,” “Head Over Heels,” as well as Carlisle’s solo hits “Mad About You” and “Heaven is a Place on Earth.”

Musical supervision, orchestrations and arrangements are by Pulitzer Prize and Tony winner Tom Kitt. Emmy nominee Spencer Liff is the show's choreographer.

The cast features Jeremy Kushnier (Paramour), Rachel York (Disaster!), Alexandra Socha (Spring Awakening), Peppermint (RuPaul’s Drag Race), Andrew Durand (Spring Awakening), Taylor Iman Jones (Groundhog Day), Bonnie Milligan (the national tour of Kinky Boots), and Tom Alan Robbins (The Lion King).

Peppermint, the runner up of RuPaul’s Drag Race’s ninth season, makes her Broadway debut with the production. When the musical opens this summer, she’ll become the first performer who identifies as a trans woman to originate a principal role on Broadway.

Rounding out the company are Amber Ardolino, Sharon Catherine Brown, Yurel Echezarreta, Lisa Finegold, Brian Flores, Ari Groover, Tanya Haglund, Arica Jackson, Gregory Liles, Gavin Lodge, Samantha Pollino, Justin Prescott, Tanner Ray Wilson, and Ricardo A. Zayas.
The creative team also includes scenic and puppet designer Julian Crouch, costume designer Arianne Phillips, lighting designer Kevin Adams, sound designer Kai Harada, and projection designer Andrew Lazarow.
