Video Get a Musical Sneak Peek of Off-Broadway’s Be More Chill Stars Will Roland, Tiffany Mann, writer Joe Tracz, composer Joe Iconis, and more reveal what to expect.

The company of Be More Chill recently gave the press a glimpse of the Off-Broadway mounting of the Joe Tracz-Joe Iconis musical—a version they’re calling “Be More Chill 2.0.”

After a premiere at New Jersey’s Two River Theatre and developmental concert performances at Feinstein’s/54 Below, the cast album developed a large online following. Now, the show receives its New York premiere at the Signature Center, beginning performances July 26 with an official opening slated for August 9. The limited engagement is scheduled to run through September 23.

In the video above, the cast—Gerard Canonico (Groundhog Day), Katlyn Carlson, Stephanie Hsu (SpongeBob SquarePants), Tiffany Mann (Jerry Springer: The Opera), Lauren Marcus, Will Roland (Dear Evan Hansen), George Salazer, Britton Smith, Jason Tam (If/Then), and Jason SweetTooth Williams—performs from the opening number “More Than Survive” and “The Smartphone Hour (Rich Set A Fire).”

The show features a book by Tracz, adapted from the novel by Ned Vizzini, and a score by Joe Iconis. Directed by Stephen Brackett and choreographed by Chase Brock, the production features scenic design by Beowulf Boritt, costume design by Bobby Frederick Tilley II, lighting design by Tyler Micoleau, sound design by Ryan Rumery, musical direction by Emily Marshall, orchestrations by Charlie Rosen, and casting by Adam Caldwell and Rebecca Scholl of Telsey + Co.
