Natalie Dormer and David Oakes

Game of Thrones star Natalie Dormer and stage and screen actor David Oakes (Shakespeare in Love, The Borgias) will star in the West End premiere of David Ives’ acclaimed Broadway play Venus in Fur. The two-hander is set to have a limited engagement, directed by Patrick Marber, at the Theatre Royal Haymarket in the fall.

The West End staging is present by TRH Productions and will run October 6–December 9.

In Venus in Fur, an actor, to be played by Dormer, arrives unannounced for an audition in downtown Manhattan. Will she have what it takes to convince director Thomas, played by Oakes, that she’s right for the leading role in his next big production?

The West End staging will be designed by Rob Howell, with lighting by Hugh Vanstone, and casting by executive producer Ilene Starger.
