National Tour News Frozen, Dear Evan Hansen, and The Band’s Visit Set for 2019–2020 Dallas Summer Musicals Season The nine-show touring season will also include Come From Away, Escape to Margaritaville, the 20th anniversary tour of Rent, and more.

Dallas Summer Musicals has announced its 2019–2020 season slate, which will begin with the national tour of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Cats, based on the recent Broadway revival (November 5–17).

The Tony-winning hit Dear Evan Hansen will follow (November 26–December 28); also scheduled are Blue Man Group (January 15–19, 2020) and the 2018 Tony Award-winning Best Musical, The Band’s Visit (February 4–16).

The season will continue with Come From Away (March 10–22), the 20th anniversary tour of Jonathan Larson’s Rent (April 14–19), and the 50th anniversary tour of Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s Jesus Christ Superstar, based on the 2016 Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre production (April 28–May 10).

Closing out the season will be the upcoming national tour of Disney’s Frozen (June 17–July 12) and Jimmy Buffet’s Escape to Margaritaville (July 28–August 9).
