Following a successful run Off-Broadway, Harvey Fierstein's Torch Song started performances on Broadway at the Helen Hayes Theatre on October 9, ahead of the official opening on November 1.

Directed by Moisés Kaufman (The Laramie Project), the production stars Drama Desk Award winner Michael Urie, reprising the role he originated Off-Broadway, and Academy Award and Tony winner Merdeced Ruehl. It also features Ward Horton, Jack DiFalco, Roxanna Hope Radja, and Michael Hsu Rosen.

Set in 1979, Torch Song follows Arnold Beckoff's (Urie) journey to find happiness, love, and family in New York. The show explores love and relationships, families we're born into and those we choose, and above all, the struggle to find ourselves.

The creative team includes David Zinn (set design), Clint Ramos (costume design), David Lander (lighting design), and John Gromada (sound design).
