Newsies and Tuck Everlasting star Andrew Keenan-Bolger is set to perform his new solo cabaret act July 23 at 8 PM at Cape May Stage in Cape May, New Jersey. Click here for tickets.
He gives Playbill an exclusive first look with a musical performance of "Eduardo," a new song by Mark Smolen and Kelly Dupuis. Keenan-Bolger also gives a bit of family history as to how he first encountered the song.
Keenan-Bolger originated the role of Crutchie in Disney’s stage adaptation of Newsies and followed that by originating the role of Jesse Tuck in Broadway’s Tuck Everlasting.
Keenan-Bolger's cabaret chronicles the unique and often comedic journey of a young kid performing on Broadway who becomes an adult playing a young kid on Broadway. His songbook ranges from Golden Era classics to contemporary Broadway and includes highlights from his stage roles in the musicals Newsies, Tuck Everlasting, and Mary Poppins.
