Second Stage Theater has announced that Emmy Award nominee Brian Tyree Henry (This is Us, Atlanta, The Book of Mormon) will be part of the cast of Kenneth Lonergan’s Lobby Hero on Broadway this spring. He joins the previously announced Michael Cera and Chris Evans in the Trip Cullman-directed drama. Additional casting will be announced at a later time.

Lobby Hero will begin previews March 1, 2018, at the Helen Hayes Theatre and will officially open March 26, marking the launch of Second Stage’s inaugural Broadway season.

Lobby Hero premiered Off-Broadway at Playwrights Horizons in 2001. The play tells the story of four New Yorkers involved in a murder investigation in the lobby of a Manhattan apartment complex: a 27-year-old security guard, his stern boss, a young police officer, and her unpredictable partner.

The Broadway production will feature scenic design by David Rockwell, costume design by Paloma Young, lighting design by Japhy Weideman, sound design by Darron L West, and casting by Telsey + Company.
