Tony Award-winning A Chorus Line star Donna McKechnie will bring her new club show, Same Place, Another Time, to The RRazz Room in New Hope, Pennsylvania, 8 PM August 12.

McKechnie described the concert as “a musical déjà vu” celebrating the 1970's in New York City, the heyday of Studio 54 as a disco nightclub, and the era in which McKechnie won the 1976 Tony Award as Best Actress in a Musical for creating the role of Cassie in A Chorus Line. The club show will tell her story of “the ingénue coming to New York, finding love and success, [and] losing her innocence along the way...but never her spirit.”

Ian Herman will serve as musical director for the show, which includes songs by Marvin Hamlisch, Stephen Sondheim, Peter Allen, Irving Berlin, Jim Croce, and Leroy Anderson, with new arrangements by Emmy Award winner John McDaniel.

In a career dating back to the 1960’s, McKechnie has appeared in Broadway shows including How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying; Promises, Promises; Company; On The Town; State Fair; and her most recent Broadway assignment, serving as standby for Chita Rivera in 2015’s The Visit. McKechnie has also starred in regional productions of Sweet Charity, A Little Night Music, Mack & Mabel, Gypsy, Follies, and Annie Get Your Gun. McKechnie performs extensively on the concert stage, in cabaret, and with symphony orchestras..

The RRazz Room at The Clarion Hotel and Suites is located at 6426 Lower York Road, New Hope, Pennsylvania. Tickets cost $45–$55 and can be ordered by clicking here or by calling (888) 596-1027.
