International News Donmar Warehouse’s Sweat, With Martha Plimpton, Will Transfer to West End Lynn Nottage’s Pulitzer Prize-winning drama will begin a limited run at the Gielgud Theatre in June.

The U.K. premiere of Lynn Nottage’s Sweat, which ended its extended limited engagement at the Donmar Warehouse February 2, will transfer to the West End’s Gielgud Theatre this summer.

Performances will begin June 7 for a limited run through July 20.

Tony nominee and Emmy winner Martha Plimpton will reprise her role as Tracey; additional casting will be announced later.

Lynette Linton directs the new production of the Pulitzer-winning drama, which explores the plight and erosion of America’s working class. Sweat also has set and costume design by Frankie Bradshaw, lighting design by Oliver Fenwick, sound design and compositions by George Dennis, movement direction by Polly Bennett, video design by Gino Ricardo Green, and fight direction by Kate Waters. The casting director is Amy Ball CDG.

Mark Rubinstein, Gavin Kalin, Joe Baker, James Quaife, Micah Frank, and Dave McNeilly will present the Donmar Warehouse production.
