Mackie will play Lulu, a friend of lodge owners Meg (Wanamaker) and Petey Boles. When mysterious strangers Goldberg (Mangan) and McCann arrive, the lives of the three—plus the boarding house’s only resident Webber (Jones) —are disrupted, and an innocent birthday party becomes a nightmare for all.

“I'm delighted to be back in the West End working with such a prolific director like Ian Rickson—and an incredible cast—on this rich, dark and enthralling play,” said Mackie in a statement. “I love how Pinter creates character and I feel very lucky to work on one of his best-known plays.”

She has also appeared on the U.K. stage in The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, Only Human, Hello Kind World, and The Crucible. In addition to Doctor Who, her screen credits include the 2013 comedy Svengali.

The production will feature sets and costumes by the Quay Brothers, lighting design by Hugh Vanstone, sound design by Simon Baker, and original music from Stephen Warbeck. Casting is by Amy Ball. Additional casting will be announced at a later date.
