Broadway News Dear Evan Hansen's Ben Platt Got a Haircut Just for Beyoncé The Tony winner spoke with Ellen DeGeneres about meeting his idol while starring in the musical.

Ben Platt, who played his final performance in the Tony-winning Dear Evan Hansen November 19, stopped by Ellen November 28 to discuss starring in the musical—and performing for his music idol.

Platt, who won a Tony for his work in the title role, detailed the buildup to the performance attended by Beyoncé. The actor told DeGeneres, “I had two days notice, so I planned a haircut, planned an extra voice lesson, really wore my favorite outfit.… It was everything I ever dreamed, and she took the time to come back and see us and was kind enough to talk about the show.”

DeGeneres asked Platt whether Beyoncé will appear on his upcoming album. Watch what he said below:
