The celebration of Broadway won’t end at the party (traditionally set for the eve of the awards), either. The January 28 ceremony—the first in 15 years to take place in New York—will feature tributes to Andrew Lloyd Webber and Leonard Bernstein from Patti LuPone (singing Evita's “Don’t Cry for Me Argentina”) and Platt (singing from West Side Story).

“I am going to celebrate New York and Broadway in a special way,” Davis told Variety. “I’ve chosen two performers who knocked me out over the last two or three years and show why Broadway is healthier than ever… I want everyone in that room to see why Broadway is still so vital and special and unique.”

Odom Jr. will also perform “America the Beautiful” at the 2018 Super Bowl February 4. Platt, who concluded his run in Dear Evan Hansen in November, signed a recording contract with Atlantic Records last year.

The Dear Evan Hansen cast recording is nominated for this year's Best Musical Theater Album category; the album is up against the recordings of Come From Away and Hello, Dolly!.
