Daniel "Rudy" Ruettiger, motivational speaker and the subject of the Emmy-winning film Rudy Ruettiger: The Walk On, will appear on Broadway in a one-night-only staging of Dream Big: Rudy Ruettiger Live on Broadway. The autobiographical solo show, which details his rise to success, will play the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre February 11, 2019.

"Rudy's life story is incredible and seeing it delivered in this format by Rudy, himself, live on a Broadway stage, will be a unique look into the real story…much of which didn't make the movie," says director and producer Nick Nanton.

In Dream Big, Ruettiger shares his story of getting into and playing football for Notre Dame despite dozens of rejections and having neither a strong academic nor athletic background. The show will also detail the story of how the movie came to be.

Dream Big Live on Broadway has been adapted from the Emmy-winning documentary film, re-envisioned and written for the stage by Ruettiger, Cheryl Ruettiger, and Erik Ball.

The show is produced by Nanton, J.W. Dicks, Ken Wirth, Cheryl Ruettiger, Erik Ball, Jennifer Kauffman, Edward Mafoud, Albert Allen, Christine Marcello, Daniel Veitkus, Peter D'Arruda, and Wayne Nugent.

Tickets for Dream Big: Rudy Ruettiger will go on sale via Telecharge.com or at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre box office beginning December 17.
