Chicago News Daniel Breaker Joins Chicago Cast of Hamilton April 11 The Tony nominee steps into Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Pulitzer Prize-winning musical.

Tony Award nominee Daniel Breaker, most recently seen on Broadway in the Tony-winning The Book of Mormon, joins the Chicago company of the Pulitzer Prize-winning Lin-Manuel Miranda musical Hamilton April 11.

Breaker, who received a Tony nomination for his work in Passing Strange, steps into the role of Aaron Burr at The PrivateBank Theatre.

The current cast of the Chicago engagement of Hamilton includes Miguel Cervantes as Alexander Hamilton, Ari Afsar as Eliza Schuyler Hamilton, Tony winner Karen Olivo as Angelica Schuyler, and Alexander Gemignani as King George III.


Hamilton is the story of America's Founding Father Alexander Hamilton, an immigrant from the West Indies who became George Washington's right-hand man during the Revolutionary War and was the new nation’s first Treasury Secretary. The musical features direction by Thomas Kail, choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler, and musical supervision and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire.
