Set in Alabama in 1900, The Little Foxes follows Southern belle Regina Giddens and her scheme to outwit her husband, who stands in the way of her profit-making dreams. “Far from a sentimental look at a bygone era,” state production notes, “the play has a surprisingly timely resonance with important issues facing our country today.” Directed by Daniel Sullivan, the production features Linney and Nixon alternating the roles of Regina Hubbard Giddens and Birdie Hubbard.
