Tony-winning composer Cyndi Lauper welcomed audiences to TDF Honors Kinky Boots, a fundraiser to support Theatre Development Fund’s (TDF) education and access programs, March 20 at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre, where the show plays.
The evening featured four of the actors who have portrayed Lola in the Tony-winning musical, including its originator, Tony winner Billy Porter, as well as J. Harrison Ghee, Alan Mingo, Jr., and Todrick Hall. The fundraiser also boasted other past and present cast members of Kinky Boots, including Tony winner Annaleigh Ashford, Stark Sands, Killian Donnelly, Andy Kelso, Taylor Louderman, Jeanna De Waal, Paul Canaan, Nathan Peck, Charlie Sutton, and Joey Tartano.

The funds raised will provide support for TDF’s education and access programs, which make theatre accessible to more than 15,000 theatregoers each year.
