Broadway News Cuba Gooding Jr. Returns to Broadway's Chicago January 7 The Oscar winner again steps into the role of Billy Flynn for five weeks.

Oscar winner and Emmy nominee Cuba Gooding Jr. returns to the Broadway company of the Tony-winning revival of Chicago beginning January 7 at the Ambassador Theatre.

The stage and screen veteran again plays smooth-talking lawyer Billy Flynn for five weeks through February 10.

Gooding Jr. previously played Billy Flynn on Broadway in October 2018 and also in London at the Phoenix Theatre.

The Broadway production currently stars Charlotte d’Amboise as Roxie Hart, Amra-Faye Wright as Velma Kelly, Evan Harrington as Amos Hart, Raena White as Matron “Mama” Morton, and R. Lowe as Mary Sunshine.

With a book by Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse, music by John Kander and lyrics by Fred Ebb, Chicago is now the longest-running American musical in Broadway history. Produced by Barry and Fran Weissler, the Walter Bobbie-helmed production is the winner of six 1997 Tony Awards, including Best Musical Revival, and the Grammy Award for Best Musical Cast Recording.
