Off-Broadway News Cristin Milioti Will Star in Zoe Kazan’s After the Blast at Lincoln Center The Once and How I Met Your Mother star has signed on for the LCT3 world premiere set in the wake of a total environmental disaster.

LCT3 has announced casting for After the Blast, Zoe Kazan’s futuristic drama about life on earth after a total environmental disaster has forced the human race to retreat underground, and fertility is regulated.

The cast will be led by Tony Award nominee Cristin Milioti and William Jackson Harper, who play a couple who have one last chance to have a baby.

Lila Neugebauer will direct After the Blast, which begins previews October 7 for a run through November 19. It officially opens October 23 in the Claire Tow Theater.

The cast will also feature Eboni Booth, Will Connolly, Ben Horner, David Pegram, and Teresa Yenque.

After the Blast will have sets by Daniel Zimmerman, costumes by Kaye Voyce, lighting by Eric Southern, sound by Brandon Wolcott, and projections by Lucy Mackinnon.

Kazan’s plays include Absalom, We Live Here, and Trudy and Max in Love. As an actor, she was Emmy-nominated for her performance in HBO’s Olive Kitteridge, and has appeared on Broadway in Come Back, Little Sheba, The Seagull, and A Behanding in Spokane.
