Film & TV News Christine Ebersole Tapped for New Series Bob Hearts Abishola Ebersole joins Folake Olowofoyeku and Billy Gardell in the CBS comedy pilot.

Tony winner Christine Ebersole has been cast in the new CBS comedy pilot Bob Hearts Abishola, according to Deadline. Ebersole joins a cast led by Billy Gardell (Mike & Molly) and Folake Olowofoyeku (Transparent) as Bob and Abishola, respectively, a heart attack patient who falls in love with his Nigerian cardiac nurse.

War Paint and Grey Gardens star Ebersole will play Bob's mother Dottie, a feisty widow who depends on Bob to run the family business, MaxDot Compression Socks. The role is the latest in a series of recent screen appearances for the Tony winner (Steven Universe, Blue Bloods, Madame Secretary, and Pose).

Set in Detroit, Bob Hearts Abishola is created by Chuck Lorre (Young Sheldon), Eddie Gorodetsky (Mom), Al Higgins (Mike & Molly), and Gina Yashere (The Daily Show).

Cast also features Maribeth Monroe (Workaholics), Shola Adewusi (Paddington 2), Barry Shabaka Henley (Bosch), and Matt Jones.
