Film & TV News Christine Baranski Discusses Working With Cher on Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again—And Does a Cher Impression The Tony and Emmy winner reveals what it was like to have the pop icon on set for the movie musical sequel.

Christine Baranski recently stopped by Live With Kelly & Ryan to discuss Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again, the upcoming sequel to the 2008 hit movie musical. Baranski had a blast shooting the film on the Croatian island of Vis, reprising her performance as Tanya.

Cher in Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again

“We had the best time. It was a ten-year reunion for all of us,” Baranski says in the video above. “Pierce [Brosnan] and Colin Firth and Stellan [Skarsgård] and Julie Walters and Meryl [Streep]—and then we had one addition: we had Cher.”

Though Baranski doesn't sing with Cher in the film, Baranski did share what is was like being on set with her (while offering an impression of the legendary performer).

Baranski is a two-time Tony winner (for The Real Thing and Rumors) and an Emmy winner for Cybil. In addition to her role in the Mamma Mia! movies, Baranski appeared as Mary Sunshine in the film adaptation Chicago and as Cinderella's Stepmother in Into the Woods (both directed by Rob Marshall).

Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again hits theatres July 20, 2018.
