Video Check Out Lucas Hedges on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon The Waverly Gallery and Mid 90s star dropped by the late-night show to talk about his film debut and his latest slew of creative projects.

Oscar nominee Lucas Hedges, currently starring on Broadway in Kenneth Lonergan’s memory play The Waverly Gallery, stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to talk about his burgeoning stage and screen career.

As well as making his Broadway debut, Hedges has recently taken on a number of starring roles in films: Jonah Hill's Mid 90s, out now in theatres, Joel Edgerton's film Boy Erased (November 2), his father Peter Hedges' Ben is Back (December 7), and Alma Har'el's upcoming Honey Boy, tapped for release in 2019.

During his visit on The Tonight Show, Hedges recalled performing in—and later getting cut from—his father's earlier film, Dan in Real Life. Watch the interview, as well as a young Hedges' appearance in the film's credits, in the video above.

In The Waverly Gallery, Hedges reunites with his Manchester by the Sea writer and director, Lonergan. The play, a 2001 Pulitzer Prize finalist and based on the playwright's real life, is about the final years of a grandmother’s battle against Alzheimer’s disease.

Lila Neugebauer directs a cast led by Oscar nominee Elaine May as the feisty Gladys Green and Hedges as a her grandson. The production is currently in previews at the John Golden Theatre, where it will officially open October 25. Tony Award winners Joan Allen and David Cromer and Tony nominee Michael Cera complete the cast.
