Celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Sex and the City With a Look Back at Its Stars on Broadway | Playbill

Photo Features Celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Sex and the City With a Look Back at Its Stars on Broadway Tony Award winner Cynthia Nixon, Emmy winner Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis, and Kim Cattrall have all taken their turn on Broadway and beyond.

Sex and the City premiered on HBO 20 years ago June 6, 1998, going on to run for six seasons and two feature films. Based on Candace Bushnell's book, the series starred Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, Kristin Davis, and Kim Cattrall. And though Parker and Nixon started off on the stage, both Davis and Cattrall have theatre backgrounds, as well. (Did you know Cattrall's Broadway debut came opposite Ian McKellen?)

In honor of the quintessentially New York City show's anniversary, we look back at some of the stage highlights from its quartet of leading ladies.
