A private reading of The Report, adapted by Martin Casella from the best-selling novel by Jessica Francis Kane, will be presented June 20 at the ND2 theatre complex in Central London.

Alan Cox will direct a cast that includes Jasper Britton (Henry IV and Richard II at RSC), Ilan Goodman (Bad Jews, The Imitation Game), Chris Harper (Coronation Street), and Kaffe Keating (The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time), as well as Francis Adams, Paul Albertson, Philippa Dawson, Clemmie Evans, David Haydn, Victoria Jeffrey, Sarah Roy, and Zoe Watkins.

Casella's The Irish Curse had an acclaimed Off-Broadway run following a London Fringe production at The Stag. Cox recently directed The Pigeon in the Taj Mahal at Irish Rep.

The Report spotlights a civilian tragedy of WWII, an incident in a London tube station that was covered up by the British government for three decades. “As the details of that fateful night are exposed, we discover how trauma, fear and the paranoia of war impact our very humanity, and how the specter of a single mass tragedy resonates across multiple generations,” according to press notes.

The play was the-top selling production in the 2015 New York International Fringe Festival.

The Report is being presented by Apples & Pears, a partnership between Broadway and Off-Broadway producers Sarahbeth Grossman, Barry Goralnick, Craig Zehms, and British American production company Cutting Hedge Productions.
