International News Casting Announced for U.K. Premiere of Mel Brooks’ Young Frankenstein Comedian Ross Noble, Lesley Joseph, and Hadley Fraser will star.

Casting has been announced for the U.K. premiere production of Mel Brooks' Young Frankenstein that, as previously announced, will begin performances September 28 prior to an official opening October 10 at the Garrick Theatre, following an out-of-town tryout at Newcastle's Theatre Royal, August 26–September 9.

Ross Noble, Lesley Joseph, and Hadley Fraser will lead the cast, with featured roles played by Dianne Pilkington, Summer Strallen, and Patrick Clancy. The company will include Imogen Brooke, Matt Crandon, Nathan Elwick, Kelly Ewins-Prouse, Andrew Gordon-Watkins, Sammy Kelly, Richard Pitt, Harriet Samuel-Gray, Gemma Scholes, Emily Squibb, Aron Wild, and Josh Wilmott.

Noble, who will play the hunchbacked, bug-eyed servant Igor, has been a stand-up comedian since the age of 15. His worldwide travel as a stand-up was the subject of his own BBC Radio 4 programs, Ross Noble Goes Global and Ross Noble On. He is a regular guest star on TV programs including Live at the Apollo, Q.I, Just A Minute, and I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue, and he has made 19 appearances on Have I Got News for You.

Joseph, who will play Frau Blucher, the housekeeper to the Frankenstein family estate in Transylvania, is best known for playing Dorien Green in the ITV1 sitcom Birds of a Feather. She was last seen on the theatrical stage in the 2016 U.K. tour of Annie, in which she played the role of Miss Hannigan. In 2016, she was one of the contestants in Strictly Come Dancing with dance partner Anton du Beke.

Fraser, who will play the title role of Dr. Frederick Frankenstein, grandson of the infamous Dr. Victor Frankenstein, has played Marius and Javert in the West End in Les Miserables as well as Raoul in the 25th anniversary production of The Phantom of the Opera at the Royal Albert Hall. He was in the Kenneth Branagh Theatre Company for The Winter’s Tale & Harlequinade at the Garrick Theatre and starred alongside Tom Hiddleston in the Donmar Warehouse production of Coriolanus, and performed there again in City of Angels, The Vote, and Saint Joan. On Broadway, he was in the original cast of The Pirate Queen.
