Florida's Riverside Theatre will present the Tony-winning, interactive musical The Mystery of Edwin Drood January 16–February 4, 2018, on the Waxlax Stage.

Directed and choreographed by DJ Salisbury, the cast will be comprised of Wicked alum Anne Brummel in the title role, She Loves Me Tony nominee Sally Mayes as Princess Puffer, Warren Kelley as The Chairman, Rachael Ferrera as Rosa Bud, Peter Saide as John Jasper, John Paul Almon as Reverend Crisparkle, Wade McCollum as Neville Landless, Claire Neumann as Helena Landless, Andrew Sellon as Bazzard, Norman Large as Durdles, and Sarah Primmer as Flo.

Based on the unfinished novel by Charles Dickens, The Mystery of Edwin Drood has a book, music, and lyrics by Rupert Holmes. The musical revolves around the murder of the young and charming Edwin Drood as the audience votes on the culprit at each performance.

The audience will be immersed in the production with actors performing around the theatre, which has been set up cabaret style. Riverside presents the chamber version of the musical with 11 in the cast and five musicians.

The Mystery of Edwin Drood was nominated for 11 Tony Awards and won five, including Best Musical. The December 1985 opening-night cast included George Rose, Cleo Laine, Howard McGillin, Betty Buckley, Donna Murphy, Judy Kuhn, and Rob Marshall.

The upcoming production will feature musical direction by Anne Shuttlesworth, scenic design by Richard Crowell, costume design by Michael Bottari and Ronald Case, costume coordination by Kurt Alger, lighting design by Sarah Elliott, and sound design by Trevor Peters. Amy M. Bertacini is the production stage manager. Casting was done in New York City by Wojcik / Seay Casting.
