The newly renamed Dramatists Guild Foundation plans an unusual evening of musical thank yous from theatre artists tipping their hats to the great “Lucky Stars” who guided and inspired them.

The DGF Gala will take place 7:30 PM November 6 at Gotham Hall, 1356 Broadway at 36th Street in New York City.

Composer Stephen Sondheim, comedian and playwright Carol Burnett, composer Jason Robert Brown, playwright Marsha Norman, the songwriting team of Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty, songwriter Lisa Lambert, and rockers The Go-Go’s are among guiding lights scheduled to appear at the event, which will honor director and producer Harold Prince; fashion designer Jason Wu, and CEO of Shiseido Americas Marc Rey.

Stars performing include Norm Lewis, Shoshana Bean, John Pizzarelli, Jessica Molaskey, and Alex Newell, among other surprise guests.

Throughout the evening the writers will introduce their “lucky stars” and perform pieces from their bodies of work. John Mulaney will serve as host with a special appearance from Burnett.

The Dramatists Guild Foundation helps supports the writers who create live theatre. DGF's programs and initiatives help propel playwrights, composers, lyricists, and book writers to their full potential by providing education and aid across the country. The annual gala is a celebration of great writers and the stars whose careers have flourished thanks in part to their work, as well as the supporters who make DGF's work possible.

Single tickets are now on sale for $500 to $1,500. Tables go for $10,000 to $25,000.
