Producers David Mirvish and Junkyard Dog Productions present the Canadian production of the Tony Award-winning musical Come From Away beginning January 4 in Winnipeg at the John Hirsch Mainstage - Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre for a four-week engagement through February 3.

The musical, which explores the lives of a group of stranded travelers whose planes are diverted to Newfoundland during the events of September 11, will subsequently play Toronto. Performances begin February 13 at the Royal Alexandra Theatre as part of the 2017–2018 Mirvish Subscription Season.

Tickets for the Toronto run are currently on sale through September 2.

The cast is comprised of Saccha Dennis (Sousatzka), Steffi Didomenicantonio (Spring Awakening national tour), Barbara Fulton (Stratford Festival’s A Little Night Music), Dora Award winner Lisa Horner (Mirvish’s Kinky Boots), James Kall (Mirvish’s Kinky Boots), George Masswohl (Young People’s Theatre Seussical), Ali Momen (Deepa Mehta’s film Beeba Boys), Jack Noseworthy (The Sweet Smell of Success), Cory O’Brien (Stratford Festival’s A Chorus Line), Kristen Peace (Mirvish’s Kinky Boots), Eliza-Jane Scott (Degrassi), Kevin Vidal (Sunnyside), Susan Dunstan (Come From Away on Broadway), Kate Etienne (Little Women), Amir Haidar (Young People’s Theatre James And The Giant Peach), Jeff Madden (Jersey Boys Dancap Productions), David Silvestri (Mirvish’s Kinky Boots), and Cailin Stadnyk (Supernatural).
The musical played an out-of-town Toronto engagement in late 2016 as part of its pre-Broadway rolling premiere.

Come From Away began previews in New York February 18, 2017, at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre, where it officially opened March 12.

The musical features a book, music, and lyrics by the Canadian husband-and-wife team of Irene Sankoff and David Hein (My Mother's Lesbian Jewish Wiccan Wedding). Director Christopher Ashley won a Tony Award for his work on the show.

The creative team includes music director Ian Eisendrath, choreographer Kelly Devine, scenic designer Beowulf Boritt, costume designer Toni-Leslie James, lighting designer Howell Binkley, and sound designer Gareth Owen. Music supervision is by Ian Eisendrath, and orchestrations are by August Eriksmoen. Casting is by Telsey + Company.

Come From Away will launch a tour across the United States and Canada at Seattle’s 5th Avenue Theatre in October.
