Through workshops and a recent engagement in Denver, Colorado, the two have developed a bond that they both admit feels like a true sisterhood. “She always makes it new, and she makes it look beautifully effortless,” Murin, who plays Anna, says of her co-star Levy (who takes on the role of Elsa).

“She brings so much heart and soul to Anna; she infuses her with so much life. It makes playing off of her so lovely,” Levy says of her on-stage sister.

The stage adaptation of the Disney animated blockbuster will further explore the dynamic and motivations between the two characters, unearthing aspects of the two not seen on screen. “These women save each other,” Levy explains. “They’re each other’s heroine.”

Book writer Jennifer Lee adds, “these two women bring such love and warmth when they’re together; it’s been an amazing thing to watch.”

Frozen will begin performances at Broadway’s St. James Theatre February 22, 2018, prior to an official opening March 22.
