Broadway News Broadway’s Wicked Welcomes Ginna Claire Mason as Glinda April 9 The international hit musical continues at the Gershwin Theatre.

Ginna Claire Mason assumes the role of Glinda in the Broadway production of the international hit musical Wicked beginning April 9 at the Gershwin Theatre. She succeeds Katie Rose Clarke, who played her final performance April 7.

Mason spent the last year playing Glinda in the tour of Wicked. She has also toured in Newsies and Flashdance the Musical and starred as Korie in Duck Commander: The Musical in Las Vegas.

The current cast also includes Jessica Vosk as Elphaba, Nancy Opel as Madame Morrible, Michael McCormick as The Wizard, Ryan McCartan as Fiyero, Jamie Jackson as Doctor Dillamond, Gizel Jiménez as Nessarose, and Jesse JP Johnson as Boq. As recently reported, Vosk will be succeeded by Hannah Corneau beginning May 14.

Based on the novel by Gregory Maguire, Wicked has a score by Stephen Schwartz, a book by Winnie Holzman, and direction by Joe Mantello with musical staging by Wayne Cilento. It is produced by Marc Platt, Universal Pictures, The Araca Group, Jon B. Platt, and David Stone.
