The Broadway premiere of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child will follow suit with the West End production and offer a “Friday Forty” ticket lottery. Each Friday beginning March 9, the two-part play will release 40 tickets to every performance the following week, priced at $40 ($20 per part).

Entries will be accepted through HarryPotterthePlay.com and the TodayTix website and app from 12:01 AM Friday to 1 PM. Winners will be notified by 5 PM and may purchase up to two tickets per part (in consecutive performances).

Performances will begin at the newly renovated Lyric Theatre March 16. Opening night is set for April 22. The play, penned by Jack Thorne and based on a story by Thorne, director John Tiffany, and original series author J.K. Rowling, takes place as the title wizard’s youngest son begins his first year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

BROADWAY RUSH, LOTTERY, AND STANDING ROOM ONLY POLICIES

Jamie Parker and Noma Dumezweni, who won Olivier Awards for their performances as Harry Potter and Hermione Granger, respectively, will reprise their roles. Rounding out the trio is Paul Thornley as Ron Weasley.

Also reprising their roles from the West End run are Poppy Miller as Ginny Potter, Sam Clemmett as Albus Potter, Alex Price as Draco Malfoy, and Anthony Boyle as Scorpius Malfoy.

Completing the cast are David Abeles, Brian Abraham, Shirine Babb, Jess Barbagallo, Olivia Bond, Stephen Bradbury, Lauren Nicole Cipoletti, Will Coombs, Joshua De Jesus, Jessie Fisher, Richard Gallagher, Susan Heyward, Geraldine Hughes,Edward James Hyland, Byron Jennings, Katie Kreisler, Joey LaBrasca, Andrew Long, Landon Maas, Kathryn Meisle, Angela Reed, Dave Register, Adeola Role, JamesRomney, Nathan Salstone, Malika Samuel, Alanna Saunders, Brooklyn Shuck, David St. Louis, Stuart Ward, Madeline Weinstein, Alex Weisman, and Benjamin Wheelwright.
