Broadway News Broadway Pre-Sale Begins for The Cher Show Tickets are now on sale exclusively to American Express Card Members.

American Express Card Members are first to have access to tickets for the Broadway premiere of The Cher Show, the new musical about the award-winning entertainer and pop culture icon that will bow at the Neil Simon Theatre this fall.

The Am-Ex pre-sale runs through June 13 at 9:59 AM via Ticketmaster.com, to be followed by a pre-sale for Audience Rewards members beginning June 13 at 10 AM and continuing through June 18 at 9:59 AM.

Broadway tickets go on sale to members of the general public June 18 at 10 AM via Ticketmaster.com.

The Cher Show is set to try-out in Chicago June 12–July 15 at the Oriental Theatre prior to a November 1 Broadway arrival at the Neil Simon Theatre. The new musical will officially open December 3.

Tony nominee Stephanie J. Block (Falsettos, Wicked), Teal Wicks (Wicked, Finding Neverland), and Micaela Diamond (NBC’s recent live Jesus Christ Superstar) will play different incarnations of Cher in the show that features a book by Tony Award-winning Jersey Boys book writer Rick Elice.

The Cher Show is directed by Jason Moore and choreographed by Christopher Gattelli.

Completing the cast are Tony nominee Jarrod Spector (Beautiful) as Sonny Bono, Tony nominee Michael Berresse (Kiss Me, Kate) as Bob Mackie (the real-life Mackie is designing costumes for the show), Tony nominee Emily Skinner (Side Show, Prince of Broadway) as Georgia Holt, Michael Campayno (Wicked) as Rob Camilletti, and Matthew Hydzik (It Shoulda Been You) as Gregg Allman. Dee Roscioli (Wicked, Fiddler on the Roof) will standby for Block and Wicks.

The ensemble includes Marija Abney, Carleigh Bettiol, Taurean Everett, Michael Fatica, Ashley Blair Fitzgerald, Michael Graceffa, Blaine Alden Krauss, Sam Lips, Tiana Okoye, Amy Quanbeck, Angel Reda, Jennifer Rias, Michael Tacconi, Tory Trowbridge, Christopher Vo, Alena Watters, Charlie Williams, and Ryan Worsing.
