The North American debut of Six ended its run at Chicago Shakespeare Theater August 4, but the queens are already poised to return to the Windy City next year. The musical will play a limited engagement at Broadway in Chicago’s Broadway Playhouse July 8, 2020, through October 25.

The cast of the Chicago premiere run will reprise their performances later this month at the American Repertory Theater in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The show will then go on to play the Citadel Theatre in Alberta, Canada, and the Ordway Center in St. Paul, Minnesota, before opening at Broadway’s Brooks Atkinson Theatre March 12.

Casting for all engagements beyond the A.R.T. bow will be revealed later.

The show, presented as a musical-pop concert hybrid, hails from Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss, whose score offers the six ill-fated wives Henry VIII a chance in the spotlight to sing out their side of history. Moss directs with Jamie Armitage.

Prior to crossing the pond, Six began at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2017 before heading to London, eventually earning five Olivier Award nominations including Best New Musical. A U.K. tour will kick off in October.
