Tony-nominated performer Brandon Victor Dixon (Hamilton, Rent on Fox) will join Tony nominee Norm Lewis (Porgy and Bess, Once On This Island) Tony winner Jessie Mueller (Carousel, Waitress), and Once On This Island’s Alex Newell (Glee) for the upcoming The Broadway Musical Concert in Japan.
Dixon replaces Tony winner Gavin Creel, who had a scheduling conflict. Performances are scheduled for May 18 and 19 at the Tokyo Theatre Orb.
The four actors will be accompanied by a 15-piece orchestra, led by musical director John Quirk. Attendees can expect solos, duets, and group performances from Hamilton, The Phantom of the Opera, Jesus Christ Superstar, Les Misérables, Beautiful, Rent, Waitress, and more.
