Box Office Opens May 6 for Broadway’s Moulin Rouge! The Musical

The box office at Broadway’s Al Hirschfeld Theatre, located at 302 W. 45th St., opens for business May 6 for tickets to Moulin Rouge! The Musical.

The new musical, based on the 2001 Baz Luhrmann film, will begin previews June 28 prior to an official opening July 25. The box office is open Monday through Saturday from 10 AM to 8 PM.

The cast from the record-breaking run at Boston’s Emerson Colonial Theatre last summer will transfer to Broadway, including Tony winner Karen Olivo (West Side Story, In the Heights) as Satine, Aaron Tveit (Catch Me If You Can, Next to Normal) as Christian, six-time Tony nominee Danny Burstein (Fiddler On the Roof, Cabaret) as Harold Zidler, Tony and Olivier nominee Sahr Ngaujah (Fela) as Toulouse-Lautrec, Tam Mutu (Doctor Zhivago) as The Duke of Monroth, Ricky Rojas (Burn the Floor) as Santiago, and Robyn Hurder (Nice Work If You Can Get It) as Nini.

The ensemble and swings include Amber Ardolino, Jacqueline B. Arnold, Olutayo Bosede, Kyle Brown, Sam J. Cahn, Max Clayton, Karli Dinardo, Aaron C. Finley, Paloma Garcia-Lee, Bahiyah Hibah, Ericka Hunter, Holly James, Evan Kinnane, Reed Luplau, Jeigh Madjus, Morgan Marcell, Caleb Marshall, Brandt Martinez, Jodi McFadden, Kaitlin Mesh, Kevyn Morrow, Fred Odgaard, Dylan Paul, Khori Michelle Petinaud, and Benjamin Rivera. Ashley Loren is the Standby for Satine.

Directed by Alex Timbers, Moulin Rouge! The Musical has a book by John Logan, choreography by Sonya Tayeh, and music supervision, orchestrations, and arrangements by Justin Levine.

The design team includes Tony winner Derek McLane (sets), Tony winner Catherine Zuber (costumes), two-time Tony nominee Justin Townsend (lighting), Tony winner Peter Hylenski (sound), Drama Desk Award winner David Brian Brown (wig and hair design), and Sarah Cimino (make-up design). Casting is by Jim Carnahan and Stephen Kopel.
