News Billy Elliot Star Will Headline Huntington's A Little Night Music Haydn Gwynne, who earned an Olivier Award for her performance in the original London production of Billy Elliot, and later repeated her work on Broadway, will star as Desiree Armfeldt in the Huntington Theatre Company production of A Little Night Music.

A Little Night Music, running Sept. 11-Oct. 11, will be directed by Huntington artistic director Peter DuBois. Gwynne, recently seen in the London premiere of Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown, is the only actor announced. Additional asting is expected soon.

The musical, inspired by an Ingmar Bergman film, features a book by Hugh Wheeler, a score by Sondheim and orchestrations by Jonathan Tunick.

The production will have music direction by Jonathan Mastro, choreography by Daniel Pelzig, scenic design by Derrick McLane, costumes by Robert Morgan, lighting design by Jeff Croiter and sound design by Jon Weston.
