Feinstein’s/54 Below, the supper club located below Studio 54, will boast these events of interest to theatre folk the week of August 17–24.

August 17: Inner City: The Musical Reunion Concert
Annie Golden, Lauren Elder, Yolanda Wyns, C.E. Smith, Cheryl Pepsii Riley, Dionne Carole, and others will join original cast member Allan Nicholls for a look back at the Broadway musical revue about life in the Big Apple in the early 1970s, with book and lyrics by Eve Merriam, and score by Helen Miller. August 18: Bianca Marroquín

The Mexican-born star of Chicago and In the Heights will perform selections from her albums Nuestros Tesoros and El Mundo Era Mío plus songs she’s performed in musicals during her career. 7 PM

August 18: Mikaela Bennett

Accompanied by Tony-nominated composer and actor Jeff Blumenkrantz, the recent Juilliard grad (who made her professional stage debut this past spring as Penelope in the Encores! concert staging of The Golden Apple) will sing a program of theatre songs by Jerome Kern, Richard Rodgers, Oscar Hammerstein II, Michael John LaChiusa, Harold Arlen, and Yip Harburg. 11:30 PM Click here for details.
August 19 and 20: New Writers at 54! In the Light by Michael Mott
Sierra Boggess, Jeremy Jordan, Jason Gotay, Ryan Silverman, Teal Wicks, and other Broadway veterans will lend their voices to a world-premiere concert version of In the Light, a new musical based on the Faust legend, with music and lyrics by Michael Mott, book by Nathan Wright and Justin Silvestri, orchestrations by Kin Scharnberg, direction by Jeff Whiting, and musical direction by Joshua Zecher Ross. 7 PM Saturday, 9:30 PM Sunday

August 19: Broadway Ballot: You Vote! We Sing!
Farah Alvin, Scott Coulter, Maxine Linchan, and William Michals perform a dozen classic Broadway tunes as selected by that night’s audience from a ballot of 100 songs. Hosted and produced by Scott Siegel. 9:30 PM

August 20: Mary-Mitchell Campbell and Friends
Orchestrator and conductor Mary-Mitchell Campbell, founder of Artists Striving to End Poverty, will perform and tell stories of ASTEP’s activities with the help of Kate Baldwin (Hello, Dolly!), Tituss Burgess (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt), Gavin Creel (Hello, Dolly!), Jonathan Groff (Hamilton), and Crystal Monee Hall (Rent). 7 PM

August 21: Newsboys of New York Reunite!

August 22: 54 Sings Chess

The Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus score from their 1988 musical will be performed by stage veterans Constantine Maroulis, Matt Bogart, Michael Campayno, Ashon Michael Corey, Tyce Green, and others. Two shows, 7 and 9:30 PM

August 23–September 3: Michael Feinstein: Showstoppers
The co-owner and namesake of Feinstein’s returns to his home base with a concert of songs that explore the meaning of the expression “showstopper.” Special guests: Tony Award winners Betty Buckley and John Lloyd Young. 7 and/or 9:30 PM on various dates. Click here for details.

August 23: New Musical: The Light Rail
Concert performance of the score of this new musical about the realities of mental illness, with music and lyrics by Kira Stone, and book by Chelsea Hickman. Performed by Stone, Noah Zachary, Timoth Aaron Cooper, Tyler Hatch, Brian Russell Carey, Jonathan Savage, and others. 9:30 PM

August 24–26: Lesli Margherita: Rule Your Kingdom
The Olivier Award winning star Lesli Margherita (Matilda, Dames at Sea, Zorro) returns to the club with a new take on the songs and stories in her signature cabaret show. 9:30 PM Click here for details.
